Saturday 12th Otober; The Life and Liberation of Padmasambhava

10 October 2024

Come along on Saturday morning to hear a story from the Life and Liberation of Padmasambhava.

We'll be visiting the semi-mythical land of Uddiyana, and learning about how Padmasambhava came to be adopted and brought up by King Indrabhuti.

There will be group activities and some devotional practice.

The story gives us an opportunity to learn about and reflect on the mythological and cultural history of Buddhism - the power and effectiveness of Buddhist symbols such as the Wish Fulfilling Gem, and the particular flavour and importance of Tibetan Buddhism for our movement and for the survival, and vigour, of Buddhist teachings today.

Meeting at our usual venue :  Exeter Community Centre, 17 St David's Hill,
EX4 3RG
