Becoming Bigger and Greater; Saturday 14th December

A  Creative 'bring and share' event

"The artist, by very definition perhaps, has access to higher states of consciousness, higher states of being than most other people... Enjoyment of great works of art enlarges our own consciousness... we go beyond our ordinary or normal consciousness, we become bigger, greater, our whole life is modified, our whole experience is transformed."

Sangharakshita put a particular emphasis on the importance of the creative arts to our spiritual lives and development as individuals. On Saturday 14th of December we will be having a creative 'bring and share'. You could consider this event as an alternative festive celebration; we will be distributing the gift of inspiration to each other!

So please join us and bring a favourite poem, piece of music, something artistic - this can be something you have created (or will create) yourself or it could be something that inspires and moves you.

Last year people read out poems, played a classical piece of music via a bluetooth speaker, brought along handmade cushion covers they had naturally dyed... the options are basically endless!
